D-Wa, New artist on the Belgian scene

This year is punctuated by the impressive number of new artists who break through the Belgian musical landscape. Today it is Berthe Tanwo Njole a.k.a D-Wa who embarks on the great musical adventure by releasing her first EP composed of 6 songs. Her style ? A french groove voice, a warm tone of voice that has been revealed at many musical events.

For several years, Berthe has been performing in different bars in Brussels. Cameroonian of origin, Berthe is an artist in the broad sense of the word. Singer, singer-songwriter, actress and presenter, she appeared on several Belgian shows. As for example: “Les Belges du bout du monde” in 2014, on the Exhibit B tour of Brett Bailey or during collaborations with, among others, the Flemish singer Raymond Van Het Groenewoud. She manages to make herself known and develop her own musical project.

She will succeed in March 2017 with the launch of a crowdfunding that will allow her not only to make her initiative concrete, but also to be able to release her first EP, printed in 500 copies.

The machine is launched and her tracks, haunting rhythms and radio, already attract a large audience.

Alongside the artistic part, Berthe develops her presenter’s cap, notably during the International French Film Festival in Namur. On stage, in front of a camera or on a set, Berthe is in her element.
